The 14th anniversary edition of AMI’s international Stretch & Shrink Film US conference will take place on December 3-4, 2019 at the Royal Sonesta, New Orleans, Louisiana, United States.
The annual conference hosts brand owners, retailers, stretch and shrink film producers and distributors, raw material suppliers, alongside with research institutions and universities.
In this 14th edition, the annual program will look in detail at the strong demand from consumer industries. Furthermore, this year’ stretch and shrink film conference will also include an executive panel discussion which will aim to highlight, examine and suggest novel ideas and creative strategies to improve sustainability of stretch and shrink films.
During stretch & shrink film 2019, Safe Load Testing Technologies will participate as an expert on the field, presenting a business case about the stretch film optimization for one of the biggest European beer manufacturers. The presentation will be carried out by Carlos Mora, Sales Manager of Safe Load TT, along with Erich Steiner, DUO PLAST´s CEO.
DUO PLAST is technological leader in the stretch film market and produces packaging films in outstanding quality.
For the execution of this laboratory, Safe Load TT developed the following testing machines:
- Multi-axis 3D system
- Horizontal Impact
- Climatic Chamber
- Vibration Data Recorder
In addition to the machines, we also provided them with training in the use of the equipment and offered advice throughout the entire setup process of the Transport Simulation Center.
Thanks to the application of DUO PLAST simulation technologies, this film manufacturer is capable of offering transport simulation tests to optimize the product + packaging system. In this way, they have increased their turnover by 16.5%, helping their clients reduce their packaging expenses by 30%, as well as their costs due to damaged goods by 20%.
During the joint presentation, attendees will discover how Safe Load Testing Technologies helped an international brewery manufacturer to optimize its packaging costs and comply with Directive 2014/47/EU while minimizing the environmental impact of its logistical processes.
After contacting us, at Safe Load we started working, analyzing the brewery’s cargo units and reproducing their film stretching parameters. Concurrently, we analyzed the stability of the load by applying the EUMOS 40509 method, concluding that it was necessary to use a different tertiary packaging design with a new stretch film and different stretching parameters
Furthermore, running in conjunction with the conference, there will be an exhibition area providing the ideal scenario to promote companies and its products to the international audience. Safe Load Testing Technologies will be located at booth 8 of the exhibition room, located directly next to the conference room.
Are you attending Stretch & Shrink Film New Orleans? Then don’t miss the opportunity to visit us at our booth number 8. We will be glad to give you more information of how transport simulation testing technologies could help you to optimize your packaging, reduce cost and damages and be more sustainable.
