Understanding motovibration performance: a deep dive into the system

The motovibration testing system is an electromechanical vertical vibration platform designed to simulate transportation conditions across a wide range of products and packaging formats. Its versatile design supports test items weighing up to 5 tons and reproduces sinusoidal vibration frequencies, making it suitable for evaluating diverse product–package combinations and their behavior under real-world distribution stresses.

    Vibration motion, frequency, and acceleration

This system delivers true vertical sinusoidal motion, generated through eccentric rotating motors with adjustable unbalances. It operates within a frequency range of 15 to 60 Hz and can reach acceleration levels up to 6g. The displacement (stroke) is adjustable from 0.2 mm to 4.6 mm (0.01 to 0.2 in), allowing users to simulate different transport vibration profiles with high precision and repeatability.

Enhanced vibration control and multi-mode testing

Features eccentric motors with the ability to adjust vibration amplitude, changing the displacement of the vibration wave applied to the test sample. Existing rotary tables on the market only have a fixed offset. In addition, these engines allow different types of tests to be carried out depending on their layout on the simulation table, increasing the possibility of the type of tests to be carried out.

The control system allows vibration testing of products in the following modes:

    Fixed frequency

Step-by-step vibration programmable over time at fixed frequencies

    Frequency oscillation (sine & sweep)

    Control System and Test Modes

The motovibration test system is capable of performing a wide range of mechanical evaluations essential for packaging, product validation, and structural assessment. It enables component fatigue tests to determine durability under prolonged vibration exposure, as well as quality tests to verify product reliability before market release. The system also supports realistic transport simulation, helping identify risks associated with real-world distribution environments. Additionally, it performs detailed resonance analysis to detect critical frequencies that could lead to product or packaging failure. Together, these capabilities make the motovibration system a versatile tool for engineering, R&D, and quality assurance teams.

    Installation and operational requirements

Thanks to its electromechanical design, the system does not require a special foundation or structural anchoring, enabling fast and flexible installation on standard industrial floors. The machine operates with low noise levels, making it suitable for use in laboratories or production environments.

    Vibration testing applications

Controlled vertical vibration testing enhances predictive performance analysis, ensuring packaging can withstand repeated transportation shocks.
